Inter-library loans

The inter-library loans is a library activity that allows usage of documents from other libraries. The Library performs inter-library loaning of library material from:

  • Its stocks on demand of other domestic and foreign libraries
  • Stocks of domestic and foreign libraries for the needs of its users

The user submits an Order Request to the Inter-library Loans Service with accurate and legibly listed bibliographic data for identification of the document (author, title of the publication, year of publication, place, ISBN - if it is a book in question; or author, title of article, magazine, volume, number, year of publication, page and ISSN – if it is a magazine in question). The written request, which is an official document, is submitted: in person, by fax or e-mail to the given address.

The following types of documents cannot be borrowed via Inter-library loans: complete magazines, newspapers, proceedings; library materials from the special holdings: dictionaries, encyclopedias, albums, doctoral and master’s papers, books and magazines from the collection of rare and old printed materials, CDs, textbooks; books containing significant items (maps, tables, scores, pictures, other supplements with pagination), bibliographical editions, publications with very large or small format.

The costs for the documents are paid by the user according to the Pricelist.
