INIS is the world's leading information system for use of nuclear energy in peaceful conditions. INIS operates within the framework of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in cooperation with Member States and with cooperative international organizations.

n cooperation with the Ministry of Science, the National and University library "St. Kliment Ohridski "- Skopje has been designated to be the headquarters of the INIS center for the Republic of Macedonia.
